Speak Out Against Horse Slaughter

Dear SUSAN,

On Friday, a federal court ruling made horse slaughter on U.S. soil imminent. Federal legislation to end horse slaughter is more urgent than ever.

Horse slaughter is a horrific death fraught with terror, pain, and suffering, whether it occurs in the U.S. or abroad. This practice poses a threat to humans as well -- horsemeat may be toxic to humans due to the wide range of drugs that horses receive over their lifespans, which puts consumers at risk.

Please send a message to your federal legislators right now and ask them to push for the passage of the Safeguard American Food Exports (SAFE) Act, H.R. 1094 / S. 541 to end horse slaughter once and for all.
