Exclusive: The world's oldest woman lives in the Amazon!

A Brazilian native peoples that believed to be the oldest person in the world, who will turn 121 years old, was found by Survival International. She desbancaría to Besse Cooper, the U.S. appears in the Guinness Book 115 after blowing their candles in a nursing home.




Lucimar Mary Pereira, of the population "Kaxinawá," lives in the western Amazon. He claims, will spend his birthday on September 3, with his family.

She never lived in a city and attributes her longevity to a healthy lifestyle: eat natural foods of the forest as beef, monkey, fish, cassava and bananas. Also, do not take salt, sugar or processed foods.

Survival International director Stephen Corry said these habits contribute to their long life. "Too often we witness the detrimental effects of forced change on indigenous peoples. It is refreshing to see a community that has maintained strong ties to their ancestral lands and enjoy the benefits of this undeniable fact, "he said.

The Pereira's birth certificate was approved in 1985 and says he was born in 1890. Longevity also is common in their community, as four of its 80 inhabitants above 90 years.
